Living Room Redesign with a Breathtaking Marshland View.
The living room redesign began when my client wanted to change how they used their room. The room is a two-story high tray ceiling with breathtaking views of the marshland.
A traditional fireplace with built-ins on either side gives the room a cozy lived in vibe. The large oriental rug with rich seafoam greens and burnt orange gave me direction on which color scheme to start with. A wide gray and beige stripe sofa grounds the room, and a light green simple leaf pattern brings nature indoors and sits on either side of this clover shaped table.
The challenge of this open space was to float matching chairs with a unique design on the back in the shape of a star as it is viewed from the entrance and dining area. A subtle paisley pattern on the front, with textured solid on the back, and arms give this chair detail and style.
We added hints of brass and gold tones to match an existing brass square coffee table not in use. The paint, Led fan, botanicals side tables, and lamps were all selected to enhance the subtle beauty of this living room. It is a much used space in the house with TV viewing, reading and entertaining with the family.
Coming soon. the next step of the project is working on the den/office and master bedroom in this residence.
