High Point Market Fall 2022

Market was extremely busy with buyers this year. HGTV stars are featured at the showrooms in which they represent and design for. The Property Brothers meet and greet & Amber Lewis book signing at Visual Comfort, as well as Nichole Curtis at Nourison rugs. Many companies in the industry like to align with a celebrity to design and endorse their products. It brings them instant recognition and buyers to increase sales. Often the celebrities come with a large price tag to endorse. This trend started many years ago and has become more prominent as social media has taken center stage.
The trend I was finding at Market where more companies expanding their lines to include outdoor furnishings. Since Covid two years ago, many families are staying in more and want the outside to become an extended part of the home. Especially in the South, where the outside can be utilized thought out the entire year.

My focus is primarily companies that have a coastal look. This style is becoming more popular but in Myrtle beach is always in popular. The Universal showroom has a whole collection associated with Coastal Living. Many clients contact me to improve the rental they have purchased and live out of state. This becomes a fun challenge to design a rental in a creative way that will have longevity on a budget.

It is always inspiring to see all the new lines & companies in view as the entire city of High Point opens up for 5 days of buyers business. I have my list of clients and what to shop for weeks before planning my trip. Looking forward to sharing all my new ideas & product with my existing clients to view. Feeling fortunate to be in a profession that I love 32 years later.
