Autumn High Point Show. Photo Drop.

We look forward to the High Point Show each season, with a ready camera eager to capture the essence of the new design season.

Pink.

In this last show, I noticed the color of the fall is pink, pink, pink. Miranda Kerr (model turned designer) has a beautiful new feminine youthful line that has been successful at Universal.  Pink lighting and pink accents balance the white, grays, blues and natural tones in each of the staged rooms at the show. Great inspiration with exciting options for how to bring Pink into a room, in a lovely and non overwhelming styling.

Organic.

In addition, another trend still going strong was the organic look. Everything from lighting, to furniture and accessories were featured in natural hand-made but useful furnishings. The natural style seems to be holding fast as a timeless style, with many vendors innovating and creating unique furnishings. Seems like the old world touch with high craftsmanship has set its roots.

Coastal Grass.

Another feature we continue to see executed in a variety of furnishings is a colorful grass cloth as woven furniture. A lovely trend that was a great to see with so many use cases. This is fun and very on point for my Myrtle Beach coastal look.

Finally, the highlight of these shows is when I’m able to meet a few industry celebrities.
Including:
Libby Langdon, Designer at Fairfield Chair
Celerie Kemble, Book signing at Arteriors Island Whimsey book
Mac Cooper, CEO Admiring Revelations/Uttermost showroom.
